NORTH LIGHT
Getting seven stakeholders to agree on what they're actually building.

Problem & Overview
Getting seven stakeholders to agree on what they're actually building. Northlight Consulting needed UX strategy and discovery for enterprise clients with competing priorities, complex legacy systems, and stakeholders who had very different ideas about what success looked like.
Enterprise UX isn't about pixels — it's about alignment. Each stakeholder had their own definition of the problem, their own success metrics, and their own pet features. The team was burning cycles building things that got vetoed in review.

Getting Started
I facilitated a series of structured workshops designed to surface and reconcile competing priorities. We used journey mapping, opportunity scoring, and 'buy a feature' exercises to force honest trade-off conversations.

What Actually Happened
Over nine months, I led discovery for three enterprise engagements. Each started with stakeholder alignment workshops, moved into iterative prototyping, and delivered production-ready designs.
What Changed
- Secured 5 new enterprise contracts during the engagement period
- Reduced design-to-development handoff friction with a shared component library
- Stakeholder satisfaction with the design process rated 4.7/5
- Junior designers reported 40% faster skill growth through structured mentorship
What I Learned
Enterprise design is 20% interface and 80% facilitation. The best pixel in the world won't save a project where stakeholders don't agree on the goal.
